Tamara Neff, DPT
Dr. Tamara Neff is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and healthcare professional with more than 20 years of experience in neurological rehabilitation, post-acute care, care coordination, and interdisciplinary healthcare leadership. She currently serves as a Care Coordinator for the last five years supporting patients and families through complex healthcare transitions.
Dr. Neff brings a unique perspective to healthcare delivery by combining extensive clinical rehabilitation expertise with system-level care coordination. Her work focuses on improving recovery outcomes,
In addition to her care coordination work, Dr. Neff continues to practice clinically as a Physical Therapist, specializing in neurological rehabilitation and individualized treatment planning. She previously worked as a physical therapist with Kinesphere Physical Therapy and held leadership roles including Director of Rehabilitation at The Healthcare Resort of Shawnee Mission.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Neff served as a Physical Therapist II and Team Leader at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Neff earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and began her rehabilitation career after completing her Physical Therapist Assistant training at Washburn University.
Dr. Tamara Neff has more than two decades of experience integrating Pilates-based movement principles into physical therapy and neurological rehabilitation. As a Pilates Rehabilitation Practitioner and previous education Mentor through Polestar Pilates, she has extensive training in applying Pilates techniques within clinical settings to support functional movement, postural control and
neuromuscular recovery.
Throughout her career, Dr. Neff has incorporated Pilates methodology into rehabilitation programs across multiple healthcare environments, including outpatient therapy clinics, inpatient rehabilitation settings, and community-based programs. Her approach emphasizes the use of Pilates principles—such as controlled movement, alignment, breathing, and core stabilization—to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and overall functional independence for individuals recovering from neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Dr. Neff’s long-standing commitment to movement education and rehabilitation reflects her broader philosophy that restoring efficient movement patterns is central to recovery, independence, and quality of life.
