WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Doctors

I've been a retired physician (radiologist) for 13 years and a client at Pilates Performance & Rehab for 12 years. I feel my best both mentally and physically when I go to four, one hour sessions per week. I've been able to control my sciatic pain during that entire time. I was back at Pilates 2 weeks after a total hip replacement, My upper body, lower back and core muscle strength have improved each year. My spine is aligned properly and my posture is good.

I think everyone should be doing Pilates

at some level.

~Dr. John Gay

"Because of its unique, gentle stretching and improvement in range of motion, I think Pilates is extremely well suited to patients with fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndromes. I have seen benefits in my own patients who have tried it."

Coaches

"Our players need long, strong, balanced muscles with an emphasis on the core of the body. That's why we use Pilates training and specifically the Allegro Reformer in the Raider's weight room. We are looking for every edge to win and the Allegro gives us that edge. The Allegro is versatile and built tough enough to handle an NFL team."

"Pilates workouts using Balanced Body reformers are an excellent conditioning tool for the NBA. The strength, agility, and performance of my players have increased and Pilates has become such an essential part of our workouts that we take a reformer to our away games. I even have a Studio Reformer for my own home use."

Athletics

I am a CrossFit competitor and I love Pilates because it helps with  my recovery and mobility. I also love it because after sitting at a desk, hunched over a computer all day it's  great for opening my chest, shoulders and back to relieve all that shoulder tension.

It just feels GOOD!

I have been a client of PPR for over 13 years. I'm so thankful for their staff! I have had several joint replacements and sailed through them because of Pilates. I'm a 64 year old golfer with a bad back who schedules my appointments after golf,  knowing Joni will get stretched out. It's very important to me to be there after golf to make me feel longer and stronger! I plan to be a life long client.

Yoga

"I've been teaching yoga for several years, and after taking Pilates, I feel an even deeper connection to my body. With the help of the Allegro Reformer, I've improved my alignment in yoga poses, and this helps me be a better teacher. Pilates is a great complement to my yoga practice, and I highly recommend it."

Dancers

"I started Pilates because I missed dancing and I missed my dance-shaped body! I had no true injuries, but I was out of shape. I began practicing and have been enjoying it for almost 7 years now. Pilates has returned my body to more closely resemble my "dancer body" with length and strength. It is actually enjoyable instead of feeling like a chore. I get to move and release my body and breath to work in a rhythm that inspires both relaxation and power in me.

Everyone

I have improved posture, my clothes fit better, my husband notices a big improvement, my abdominals are stronger. My last bone density test actually showed slight improvement!  I can get up in the AM and do not have to take three Advil. I am not in pain when I get home from work. I am more flexible and confident. I continue to do Pilates because I don't want o be an old lady that can't get around on her own! Because it makes me feel good. Because I believe it is making me stronger and improving my posture and my balance. It has changed my life for the better and I recommend it to absolutely everyone - any size, any level of fitness"
